PRESEASON COACHES' POLL

MEDAILLE COLLEGE
PICKED TO WIN FOURTH MEN'S TITLE

With five first place votes, Medaille College is the strong favorite to recapture the AMCC title they last won in the 2011-12 season.  La Roche College, which tied Hilbert College for the regular season title last season, garnered three first place votes to finish second in the polling, while Penn State Behrend, the conference champion last season, came in third.

Mavericks guard Jammal Coleman was voted Preseason Player of the Year.  The junior was named to AMCC First-Team All-Conference in 2012-13.  He was the team’s leading scorer (4th in AMCC) with 16.5 points per game and ranked third in 3-point field goal percentage, and fourth in field goal percentage.

The AMCC kicks off conference play on Wednesday, December 4, and the championship will be Saturday, March 1, hosted by the number #1 seed.  The tournament winner will receive the AMCC's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
